9.29.08 First update post! Yay! Yeah, so I'm still working on putting in the rules, making RP boards and things like that. This is fuuuun lol. I like making sites. :)
In 2008 scientist Dr. Robert E. Adams discovered the cure for heartworm. It was delivered in the form of a ga s mask over the cat or dog for only a minute at a time. The gas would kill the heartworms at any stage of the development with only a side effect of a little bit of a runny nose. The best part was that it was so cheap that it could be offered as low as five dollars a treatment. Millions of pet owners around the world lined up for hours to save their animals, an d in no time heartworms was just a thing of the past. To help prevent the outbreak of the killer worm again the US govern ment hired teams of people who would go up and down streets spraying the gas. This way strays wouldn’t spread the worm on to other animals. It was perfect, maybe too perfect.
In 2010 a normally tame dog in a household suddenly started to viciously attack his owners. An elderly woman eventual ly died from the attack, and the dog had to be shot just to prevent any more harm. It was a puzzling case as no evidence of rabies was found in the male dog. However, what the vet did find was an odd type of brain cell in the dog. It was atta cking other cells around it, and it was triggering massive overdoses of adrenaline. A few days later three other dogs, in the same area, did the exact same thing. This time a young child was killed. The odd thing was that his body was eaten c ompletely; even some of the bones were gone. The two other dogs were found with the same type of odd cell in their brains .
Two weeks later chaos erupted. Dogs in every city and in every state were attacking anything they could get their mou ths on. Some said that they acted almost like they were rabid. Experts on rabies gathered a few of the infected dogs and came to a terrifying conclusion. Since the odd brain cell was producing so much adrenaline the canines were in a constant state of ‘super’ strength. Although, this came with a terrible cost so the dogs were always in search of food. The treat ment for heartworms that was found two years prior had been slowly mutating until it finally took a hold of the dog. The total death count for humans throughout the entire world was reaching the hundred thousand. Military teams were called in from the government to eliminate any dogs in sight.
One organization started to offer to pick up dogs that had never come in contact with the medication. Often it was in third world countries, or in small towns where the medication never got that far out. A small scan would be done on the dog before it was picked up and shipped off to a town located on the southern boundaries of Canada. This town was named N exo, the mouth of death, and it once was a booming city full of people. Now it sits and it’s the last place for dogs to l ive a semi-normal life again.
Are you one of the survivors or did you fall like the rest?
There are four packs in the forest: Nightwings, Sunwings, Skywings and Moonwings.
Nightwings wolves usually have black wings and fur. Even if they have blue or russet wings and fur, they are pretty dark. Their personalities match their color: they are rude and generally unpleasant to be around. You couldn't say that all Nightwings wolves are mean, but you'd be right if you said they are the darkest of all the forest wolves.
Sunwings wolves are more inclined to run than fly. The other packs look down on them for that and think they are very different. Because of all the hate directed towards them, they are usually very self-conscious and embarrasses. Howev er, if mocked they will try to defend themselves before falling back; they are not considered meek. Their wings are usually a type of red or tan, but their fur can be any color, even black or white.
Skywings wolves are almost always gray. Their long wings are always a blueish color that matches the sky on a cloudy day. These light wolves are very haughty and narcissistic. They think that they are part of the best pack in the forest, b ut the Skywings pack is actually quite annoying because of their self-obsessed ways.
Moonwings wolves are the lightest wolves. Their wings and fur are usually white or light gray. The wolves in this pack are almost always kind and generous -- sometimes too generous. They are looked at as timid an d always striving to do what others want, even if that means doing something bad.
When it says Grandmother and Grandfather, it's referring to the grandparents of the litter [the parent's parents]. So the member who RPs the mother would post the stats of bother the mother and the mother's parents and the member who RPs the father would give the stats of the father and the father's parents.
In the packs, rank is very important. However, respect of senior wolves is less important than kindness and honor for all other wolves.
Alpha. Pretty much the most important wolf in the pack. Responsible for leading the pack in battle and keeping it safe and well-fed.
Aurel. The healer of the pack. Treats both physical and emotional pains. For more information, click here.
Pup. A young wolf (less than about seven months) whose wings have not yet grown to full size. Pups spend most of their time with other pups or their mothers.
Fledgling. A young wolf whose wings won't grow anymore. They learn the basics of hunting, fighting and flying from omegas who have been assigned to them. These omegas are called brighteners.
Fledge-hunter. Once the alpha thinks the fledgling is ready and knows the basics, the fledgling will be given the choice of three omegas to start learning from. These omegas were hunters and know a lot about hunting. The fledgling will choose the omega he wants to learn from and the omega will teach the fledgling only about hunting.
Fledge-fighter. Once the alpha thinks the fledgling is ready and knows the basics, the fledgling will be given the choice of three omegas to start learning from. These omegas were fighters and know a lot about fighting and flying. The fledgling will choose the omega he wants to learn from and the omega will teach the fledgling only about fighting and special flight maneuvers.
Hunter. After a fledge-hunter has been learning for a few months, they will become a hunter. Along with the other hunters in the pack, they will focus on hunting and keeping the pack well-fed and healthy.
Fighter. After a fledge-fighter has been learning for a few months, they will become a fighter. Along with the other fighters in the pack, they will be responsible for fighting in battles, defending borders and generally protecting the pack.
Omega. Omegas are elderly wolves. They are renowned for their wisdom and experience. However, they are not so old that they can't move around and teach fledglings, fledge-hunters and fledge-fighters.
Brightener. The equivalent of a mentor in the Warriors books, brighteners teach fledglings. After the fledglings become hunters or fighters, the fledgling's brightener will go back to being a regular omega with no special duties except for advising the alpha.
Queen. A queen is a she-wolf who is pregnant or nursing pups.
The wing-wolves believe in two gods. However, there are no rituals or ceremonies that they do to honor the gods.
Ivy. Goddess of the packs [pack dogs pray to her]. Pure white wolf with green eyes. Very long pale gray wings. Usually kind and generous. But if you annoy her, she'll get very mad. Click for bio. RPed by Ivy.
Frost. God of the outcasts and loners [outcasts and loner pray to him]. Dark black wolf with brown eyes. Very long gray wings. Gets annoyed easily. But if you get on his good side, he'll treat you very well. Click for bio. Currently RPed by Ivy. Someone else will RP him later.

Display Name. Because you should only have one account for all of your characters, your display name should just be what you want to be called. But I'm a neat freak [lol] so it would be great if the first letter was capitalized and it didn't have any numbers or anything.
Signature. Fill out this form [or a variation of it but with the same things] for each of your characters.
Code:

001. Please don’t fight. If you must fight for some reason, do it in PMs. 002. No major cursing. Most curses are censored, so why bother? 003. Follow the golden rule: only do to other people what you’d want them to do to you.
OTHER.
001. You can have up to two characters. If you want more than that, you have to buy the privilege in the store. 002. Stay active. Regular characters will be considered inactive if they have not logged in for a month. Once a membe r has not logged in for at least a month, they will be sent an e-mail reminding them to log in or delete their account. If they do not log in by a mon th from the date the e-mail was sent, their account will be deleted. Alphas and aurels will be considered inactive if they have not logged in for two weeks. Once the e-mail has been sent, they have another two weeks before their account is deleted. Don’t talk about som ething in thread 1 that you did in thread 2 while talking in thread 2 about something you did in thread 1. 004. When you are leaving a thread, write (exit) or something like that. 005. When you post out of character in a role-play thread, write "((OOC: whatever you want to write in OOC))" 006. When you role-play, make each post at least 100 words long. There is a word counter in the side tables, use it! 007. Don’t power-play, god-mod, or chat-speak.
~ Power-playing: making a character that is not your own do something. This applies mostly in fighting.

~ God-modding: Making your character invincible, catch every piece of prey they stalk, or not letting someone else hurt your wolf in battle. ~ Chat-speaking – writing at if you were text messaging or IM-ing.
- BAD – Hi! Wats ^? Sry, g2g. C u l8r!
008. Always RP in third person (he, she) and not first person (I). 009. Don’t spam. Only write things that are related to the original post. 010. Double posting (posting more than two times in a row) is allowed but discouraged. Just modify your original post if you have something extra to say.
